Trump: "If Not for Me, Israel Would No Longer Exist"
RastinewsUS President Donald Trump, speaking to Fox News, offered his assessment of the Iran-Israel war, saying, "If I weren't US President, Israel would no longer exist, and the Middle East probably wouldn't exist either."
Trump said Iran's retaliation against US and Israeli strikes by hitting Gulf countries had "surprised everyone, including himself." The US leader repeated the assertion that if Tehran obtained a nuclear weapon, it would use it to destroy the Middle East and Israel, after which Europe and the US would be next, reiterating that "Iran will not have a nuclear weapon."
Trump, who argued that the US naval blockade and economic pressure on Iran had been effective, also repeated the claim that the government in Tehran is "a country on the verge of collapse."
