Tamer Çilingir Joins Rastî

Tamer Çilingir was born in 1965 in the village of Livera, in Maçka, Trabzon. For years he has researched Pontic history, collective memory, identity, forced migration and official historical narratives, writing in both Turkish and Greek. His book "Pontos Gerçeği" was published in 2016 by Belge Yayınları.
In his work he draws on Turkish and Greek sources, archival documents and the historical memory of Pontic Greek society, comparing them side by side. His writing focuses on discussing Pontic history outside Turkey's official narrative, bringing forgotten figures and events into view, and examining the relationship between the historical memories of different peoples.
