Metiner Invokes Öcalan After Rastî Report on Ilham Ahmed

Speaking to Ronahi TV, Ahmed criticized the lowering of the Syrian flag and protests targeting governorate buildings, saying, "Attacks on state institutions cannot be justified under any circumstances."

Ahmed also said that during the recent attacks, they attempted to contact and meet with Abdullah Öcalan.

Addressing the debate over Rojava-Damascus integration, Ahmed said, "We must see Syria as our own country and state, and work for its future."
Metiner levels sharp accusation at those calling for military intervention in Syria
Metiner directly targeted circles that had pushed for the Turkish military to enter Syria:
"Those who back then advised sending the Turkish army into Syria really meant to sabotage the process under way at home."
Metiner branded these circles "saboteurs of the process," adding, "None of their predictions came true."
"They were always on our screens; they broke the public consensus"
Metiner extended the argument to the process in Turkey. He argued that television had repeatedly given a platform to voices opposing the process, saying, "Otherwise, public consensus behind the process would be at its highest level today."
Metiner closed by pointing to the AK Party's own base, saying, "I hope that from now on, those figures will no longer be allowed to confuse and corrupt the minds of our noble nation, starting with the AK Party constituency."
