Barzani: Iranian Drones Targeted My Office and Intelligence Chief's Home

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani detailed the targets of drone strikes in Erbil in a post on X.

Barzani pointed to an investigation underway by the Kurdistan Counter Terrorism Department, writing:

"Today, Iranian drone strikes targeted my personal office and the home of the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency."

Calling the strikes "reckless and unacceptable," Barzani said:

"This is a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region."

Barzani said the attacks would not force a retreat, adding: "These attacks will not stop us from carrying out our duties and protecting our citizens."
