RastinewsTurkey's Presidency's Directorate of Communications has launched a coordinated effort, joined by the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the General Directorate of Security's Department for Combating Cybercrime and counter-terrorism units, over allegations tied to the process. Some accounts are accused of "engaging in terrorism propaganda," "sharing content that glorifies terrorism," and, in numerous cases, using "disinformation and manipulation to mislead the public with false content."

Some social media users are alleged to have "sought to incite hatred and hostility through provocative posts targeting the public's sensitivities." Officials said the necessary legal proceedings would be pursued against content and accounts assessed to contain criminal elements.
