New claim in Gülistan Doku case: 'Stay quiet, we'll pay you monthly'

A friend of Gülistan Doku alleged that Özdemir Aktaş, then provincial director of İŞKUR (Turkey's state employment agency) in Tunceli, told them in a meeting: "If you don't pursue this, we'll give you monthly financial support." The claim has deepened debate over how the investigation has been handled.
Around the same time, Gülistan Doku's sister, Aygül Doku, raised allegations of pressure on the family. She said they had been advised not to contact the press, politicians or civil society organizations, and argued the process has not been transparent.
The family also relayed another striking remark:
"We don't need a job, we just need Gülistan."
As the investigation into Gülistan Doku's disappearance continues, these claims have raised fresh questions among the public.
