Feti Yıldız: SDF and YPG Dissolution Also Falls Under Reconciliation Law

Yıldız pointed to a statement given by SDF Kobani official Mahmoud Berkhodan to the Turkish newspaper Türkiye.
Berkhodan had said roughly 10,000 fighters had transferred to the Syrian army, adding: "Within a few days we will announce the dissolution of the YPG and SDF, and the autonomous administration structure will also be dismantled."
In a post on X, Feti Yıldız recalled the law's first article, noting that the process is conditioned on "all affiliated structures dissolving themselves and handing over the weapons and ammunition under their control," alongside the PKK/KCK.
Citing Berkhodan's statement, Yıldız drew a direct line between the dissolution of the SDF and YPG and the legal framework of the process underway in Turkey.
After Berkhodan's remarks made headlines in Turkey, Feti Yıldız posted the following on X:
"As stated in Article 1 of the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration, in line with the determination by security agencies — and confirmation of that determination — that the dissolved PKK/KCK terrorist organization and any structure connected to it have ended their physical presence and handed over all weapons and ammunition under their control, the SDF official announced: 'Within a few days, they will announce the dissolution of the YPG-SDF, and the autonomous administration structure will also be dismantled.'"
