MHP's Yıldız: Peace Process Is Not Just a Security Matter
MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız said Turkey's peace process should not be viewed merely as a security policy, calling for people with differing views and sensitivities to be included in the process.

In a post on social media, Yıldız said the process should be handled within the framework of state policy.
Yıldız said the "Terror-Free Turkey" vision goes beyond security policy to encompass the rule of law, democratic participation, social solidarity and economic development, and called for different segments of society to be included in the process.
Yıldız wrote:
"Rather than being seen merely as a security policy, the Terror-Free Turkey vision is a comprehensive state policy that encompasses the survival of the state, the strengthening of the home front, the rule of law, democratic participation, social solidarity and economic development, and that is grounded in social cohesion, national solidarity and the state's strategic future."
Yıldız said people with different sensitivities should be included in the process, adding: "Let's leave no one out. Let's patiently show the truth to those unlike us. First and foremost, let's use language that is careful and fitting to the spirit of the process."
Details of Framework Law Must Be Explained
Feti Yıldız said the content of the framework law on the peace process should also be explained to citizens.
Yıldız said the public should be told who and which crimes the law covers, which crimes are excluded, and the mechanisms for the PKK/KCK's disarmament, adding:
"Let's repeatedly explain to our people the purpose of the framework law — which individuals are covered by the law with respect to the dissolved terrorist organization PKK/KCK and any affiliated formations connected to it, which crimes are exempted, the verification and determination mechanism confirming that the organization's actual existence has ended and its weapons and ammunition have been handed over, the National Security Council's decision, and the law's effective date."
