Barrack: "One Army, One Government, One State"
RastinewsUS Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack has called the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into Syrian state institutions "a historic development." Barrack said giving Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed effective roles in government would recognize the sacrifices made by Kurds.
Barrack said a shared national framework encompassing all parties in Syria is taking shape under US President Donald Trump's Middle East plan.
He said Trump's leadership had paved the way for the SDF's orderly integration into state institutions, adding that the process has turned past divisions into a lasting partnership.
"Kurdish contributions are being given the respect they deserve"
Barrack also pointed to the recognition of Kurdish in education, saying:
"Recognizing Kurdish in education, and giving our valued partners Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed effective roles within the Syrian government, reflect the respect owed to their leadership, to the sacrifices of our Kurdish partners, and to their constructive contribution to regional stability."
Barrack said these steps have turned past divisions into shared goals.

Describing the integration as a diplomatic solution with no winners or losers, Barrack concluded:
"Former parties with differing views are coming together for a diplomatic solution that will strengthen a sovereign Syrian state. One army, one government, one state."
