The statement described the attack as "a dangerous and unacceptable development targeting Iraq's sovereignty":
"The security of the Kurdistan Region is an inseparable part of Iraq's security. Targeting the region's territory, officials or institutions is unacceptable under any name or pretext."
The Parliament Speakership called on the Baghdad government to launch an urgent investigation and demanded that the necessary measures be taken to prevent such attacks from happening again.
