Iran: Kurd shot dead in Piranşar, 20 children questioned in Şino
In the week Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is due to address the U.N. General Assembly, Ministry of Intelligence forces shot a Kurd dead in Piranşar, children were interrogated in Şino, and detentions continued in several cities across Rojhilat.

RastinewsThe Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that Iran's Ministry of Intelligence forces shot and killed Ali Oslub, a 35-year-old Kurd, on Sept. 17 near the village of Celdiyan in Piranşar, West Azerbaijan province, as he rode a motorcycle.
DShK opened fire, body withheld
According to sources cited by IranWire, Oslub was surrounded by Intelligence Ministry forces on the road near Celdiyan. The forces opened fire with a DShK heavy machine gun and Kalashnikovs. Oslub died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, and his body was seized by the forces.
The Hana Human Rights organization said the Piranşar chief prosecutor, responding to a request from the family, confirmed the death and said the body was in the custody of security units. According to IranWire, the prosecutor also warned that the body would not be handed over to the family.
Three days after the killing, Iran's Ministry of Intelligence issued a statement describing Oslub — without naming him — as an "operational member" of a Kurdish opposition party. Hana said no information had been made public showing that Oslub was armed or posed any threat.
Children interrogated in Şino
The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported that at least 20 Kurdish children in Şino had been summoned and interrogated.
According to KHRN, security forces raided multiple homes simultaneously in Şino before dawn on Sept. 15 and detained at least five people without arrest warrants. Those detained include the son of Muhyeddin İbrahimi, a Kurdish political prisoner who was executed.
Families have repeatedly asked about the detainees' condition and whereabouts, but security and judicial authorities have not responded.
Detentions in Kamyaran and Mahabad
Hengaw reported that two Kurds, Yaser Hüseyni and Muhsin Esedi, were detained by Intelligence Ministry forces in Kamyaran. KHRN said Kurdish martial arts coach and civil rights activist Abdullahi was also detained without a warrant in Mahabad on Sept. 15.
In a report issued the same week, Hengaw said hundreds of children and educators had been detained across Iran over the past year.
Crackdown ahead of Jina Amini anniversary
KHRN had previously reported that two Kurds in Sine were detained while on their way to report to a security office after being summoned by phone, ahead of a general strike called for Sept. 16, the fourth anniversary of Jina Amini's death. The strike was called by the Coalition of Iranian Kurdistan's Political Parties.
According to data from Hengaw and KHRN, detentions, interrogations and killings continued across Rojhilat right up to the day Pezeshkian was due to take the podium at the U.N.
