Iran to sell seized US, Israeli ships

RastinewsIranian judiciary official Hassan Abdulianpour said commercial vessels seized by court order in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, which he said belong to the United States and Israel, will be sold.
Speaking to the Mizan news agency, Abdulianpour said the proceeds would go toward compensating relatives of those killed in the war, along with individuals and families who suffered losses.
Damage assessment continues in Hormuzgan
Investigations into damage from attacks in and around Hormuzgan province have so far documented 537 cases in the Qeshm, Bandar Lengeh and Chabahar areas. Abdulianpour said more than 100 lawsuits have been filed over the matter at Tehran's Revolutionary Court.
Abdulianpour said claims for material and non-material damages are being handled by the civil department of the 55th Branch of Tehran's Justice Court, with hearings to be held in sequence in the coming weeks.
