RastinewsMHP leader Devlet Bahçeli said of the process he called "Terror-Free Turkey": "We will think of future generations, not future elections."
Bahçeli's message was read out at the MHP Ankara Provincial Branch's 15th Ordinary Congress, held at the ATO Congress and Exhibition Center.
Bahçeli said the process was not limited to security alone, adding that it also mattered for strengthening brotherhood, boosting national solidarity and channeling resources toward development.
"As throughout our political history, we will act out of love for the homeland, not concern for votes; we will think of future generations, not future elections," Bahçeli said.
Pointing to regional conflicts and global uncertainty, Bahçeli said his party would maintain its current stance. He argued that the Nationalist-Idealist Movement was "the guarantee of the Turkish nation's unity and order."
Alparslan Doğan, the sole candidate and incumbent provincial chairman, was re-elected at the congress.
