Report: New Syria-wide party said to be in the works under Mazlum Abdi

RastinewsA new chapter may be opening between Damascus and the Kurdish administration. According to claims circulating behind the scenes, the SDF and the Autonomous Administration are set to end their current structure and integrate into the Syrian state system, while a new political party covering the entire country is expected to be formed under the leadership of Mazlum Abdi.

An integration plan on the table between the Damascus government and Kurdish parties is said to be taking shape.

According to journalist Tuncay Doğan, writing in a piece published on Numedya24, Rojava is ending its existing institutional structures and folding into the Syrian state system.

Under the plan, the SDF's independent status would be terminated, with the force reorganized into four divisions under the Ministry of Defense, and Sipan Hemo appointed deputy defense minister to head the new structure.

Internal security forces would be brought under the Interior Ministry system through the provincial governorates, while traffic, civil registry and local services would be handed over to the central mechanism, with the Autonomous Administration expected to dissolve itself.

On the political front, the plan calls for a new party under Mazlum Abdi's leadership that would organize not just regionally but across Syria as a whole, including Damascus, Latakia, Homs and Deir ez-Zor. The report notes that the most sensitive issue in the integration process — the status of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) within the new system — has yet to be settled.
