Bahçeli: No turning back on 'Terror-Free Turkey' process

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli said Turkey had reached a critical threshold in its "Terror-Free Turkey" goal. He called for full, above-politics support for the framework law. Describing a terror-free Turkey as a historic responsibility, Bahçeli said the country must move into the future through a spirit of reconciliation and unity.

"THERE IS NO GOING BACK"
Bahçeli said a terror-free Turkey marked a historic step, taken with the resolve to dismantle the West's traps, from which there is no turning back. "A terror-free Turkey is a historic responsibility we have taken on for the peace and prosperity of future generations. This policy is an act of democratization, a will to carry a thousand years of brotherhood into the next thousand," he said.

Bahçeli stressed that the party was determined to reach its goal. "We will do everything we can to succeed. No political game will turn us back from the steps we are taking to build our next century. A terror-free Turkey is a historic responsibility we have taken on for our country's future," he said.

Bahçeli noted that Turkey had become a center of energy stability, trust and peace in the region. "Turkey represents a will that reads this new era correctly, resets the game in the energy field, sets the balance and shapes the future. Energy independence is Turkey's Kızılelma," he said.
"THE FRAMEWORK LAW MUST RECEIVE FULL SUPPORT"
On the framework law, Bahçeli said: "Our call for the establishment of a 'National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission' under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has been answered. There, in line with the 'Terror-Free Turkey' goal, work on strengthening social integration, reinforcing national solidarity and brotherhood, and advancing freedom, democracy and the rule of law was addressed from multiple angles."
Following these developments, the commission has prepared its detailed report. As a state policy, a terror-free Turkey now stands at an important threshold in the lawmaking process to firmly establish its framework. This matter should be seen as above politics, and the framework law must receive full support," he said.
