Turkey's top appeals court begins review of CHP leadership annulment ruling

Rastinews — The 'absolute nullity' ruling that reinstated Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as CHP chairman and removed Özgür Özel from the post reached the Court of Cassation for appeal last week.

A review of the case on its merits had been expected only after September 1, once the judicial recess ended. The Court of Cassation's 3rd Civil Chamber has now opened a preliminary examination of the file. The reporting judge will submit a report to the panel once the review is complete.
