Iran says 4 PJAK fighters killed in Bane operation
Iran's police force announced that four PJAK fighters were killed in an operation in Bane, in Rojhilat.

RastinewsIran's police force announced that four fighters belonging to PJAK were killed in an operation carried out in the city of Bane, in Rojhilat.
Police spokesman Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi said border guards and intelligence units in Bane had jointly monitored movement along the border.
According to Montazer al-Mahdi, intelligence work indicated that a senior cadre of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) was preparing to cross into Bane, prompting authorities to launch the operation.
During surveillance and tracking activities, a Samand-brand car carrying PJAK members was surrounded, Montazer al-Mahdi said. He reported that four fighters were killed in the clash that followed between security forces and the group's members. The spokesman added that searches at the operation site turned up a large quantity of weapons and ammunition.
PJAK has not yet issued an official statement on the clash.
