Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen "as long as US threats and interference in regional maritime traffic continue."

According to Iranian state television, the Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a written statement on the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement said the strait is under Iran's control and will not reopen as long as US "threats and interference in regional maritime traffic" persist, adding that the current situation could even worsen further.

The statement also warned that countries backing the US would face "a harsh response" if they did not change their stance.
